Stefania Vismara's speech for the " Work that waits for us : PDL thesis" conference.
Our company exports 98% of its goods abroad, this is why, myself and everybody here at Archetipo are constantly in contact with other cultures of other countries, and this has made a complete difference for us in the idea what today is called " work" in those countries that are " economically advantaged". The main difference of the "work culture" in Italy and the ones of the other countries is that in Italy work is still just seen as a way to sustenance instead of being accepted , like elsewhere, as an opportunity, a passion and a positive constructive effort. The transformation of feeling our work in our souls has to involve both the employer and the employees, so as to look at the diligence in a different way , a way that will reward and give a smile after the efforts done, which at the end, won't be efforts anymore. Working together with passion and strength for the same goals to achieve is the most amazing feeling and this is exactly "the work that is waiting for us", the deep understanding of it.
For the companies that understand this, i believe their future is certain, we have to work together with our people and our people have to work with us.
Ourselves, at Archetipo, we are a team and we are successful most of the time because we create " excellence" and we are able to do it thanks to the people we work with.
It is important to understand the value of people, and the company is made of people, and this is the real value: The more the people who work for it are feeling it in their souls, this is what the company should try to achieve, as well as the people working for it… and sometimes having strength, because this " new way of being a company" is something that employers and employees still don't feel theirs, but it will be what it takes to make the companies run stable and the employers having their importance inside their working environment.
Let's change than the work prospective, let's see it as a way of personal and cultural growth….. Archetipo, for example, spends time in training and talking through its different departments, giving a more complete and open vision of the company for everyone.
"Let's change" and understand the " new vision of the work that is waiting for us", and we won't need further protections because we will always be able to insure ourselves, which, in my idea, is always the best and most rewarding feeling.
The conclusion of my speech should be done by a representative of the "Archetipo's team", as for you to understand even better what I have been trying to explain….but this, unfortunately, is not possible, let's than understand ourselves this idea with our employees, employers, colleagues, sharing some thoughts to develop together… for some ( the less charmed ones, the ones who never believe in anything), these words may seem just mere words, but believe me ( and I mostly say it to the ones who will always believe in something…the most important thing in life, as for myself) that really believing in something can make it real, and these "cases/people" are enough to create an healthy environment, full of positive challenges, an environment of a successful company.
